I would suggest short biographies of Lenin, Mao, Kim-Il Sung, Marx, Engels, Stalin, Hitler and Trotsky, amongst others of course.

Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Mao, Mussolini
I think everyone knows about Hitler. You might want to include the more obscure figures like Il-Sung, Castro and Ho Chi Minh.

We'll need stuff on Emma Goldman, Alexander Berkman, the IWW, Eugene V. Debs, Kropotkin, Proudhon, and Bakunin.

Thank you everybody for suggestions! Needless to say, we need more so please keep up the suggestions. I will be adding this to our library sometimes next week.
Red Faction's suggested essays written by our good comrades in the ASE. If people could link me to them, I would be happy to include them in the library....

It is noted though, that Bukharin was shot by the NKVD as ordered by Stalin.

You should probably remember, Stalin had a lot of people shot. Those who survived, like Marshal Zhukov, yo-yoed in and out of favour every 5 minutes.

It is noted though, that Bukharin was shot by the NKVD as ordered by Stalin. That simplifies a complex matter. Bukharin was tried in the third Great Purge Trial and executed by a firing squad I recall. Saying he was "shot" really downplays the huge amount of drama involved. I read the transcripts of the thid Purge Trial for a paper I was writing. It was absolutely amazing the charges laid against Bukharin. He was charged with spying for the U.S., the U.K, Japan, Germany, France, the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and a couple others. Questions went like this: "Were you ever in Austria?" "Yes." "For how long?" "18 months." "Why?" "I was arrested for fomenting revolution with Comrade Lenin." As you can see, a proven Austrian spy. *chuckles*
