I was wondering if we could get more info on the founding and history of TPC. Perhaps the topic in the general discussion area should be moved here.

Well, only Haderan himself could pontificate on the founding of the Coalition itself, as he has done somewhat in his memoirs. Our history however, is a long one. I will elaborate a bit, with sweeping generalizations, since I forget most of it. I will also PM Star City and a couple others for you about it, unless you wish to yourself. I was thinking Star City, Blackbird, and Peaceful Minds. After Haderan's delegacy, we were left with something of a void in terms of leadership. We were a young and growing region, and many trappings of the well-organized government we have now were not even envisaged. The main ministries were however created - Interior, Defence, and Foreign Affairs. We looked for leadership in this time, and several took up the banner and led. PileAlcalin, whom I to this day miss, was elected for a brief time before he left the NS world as well, and Cwajga (again, whom I miss) replaced PA. In short order however, he left as well. These were turbulent times, not troubled and bad but unsure and unknown. We fell into stagnation for these few months, not due to these leaders being poor, but a lack of time on to implement any real vision and indeed spread leadership. Our well respected Comrade Jako took up the delegacy, and during his tenure we saw major leaps and bounds. He revitalized our slumping region, removing the paralysis that struck us from inactivity and uncertainty. Under his stout leadership we grew again, and started to become one of the largest and more influential leftist regions in NS. After Jako stood down, Blackbird was elected. In all honesty, I was semi-opposed to his delegacy at first because he was a fairly hard line marxist, and I was worried that far less "pure" socialists like myself might be left out of the loop. In retrospect, the worry was pointless. BB has served faithfully for a long time, and during his tenure we have indeed become the leading leftist region of NS, and a model for all who follow us. For a detailed breakdown on who served when, refer to this NSwiki entry. ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/The_Proletariat_CoalitionI will look out for more stuff, especially concerning our external issues which I am fairly ignorant of. We have of coursed participated in the ADN and RLA, as you know, and are a prime mover and shaker to many groups we interact with.

The history is something that will be on the website and be written by each Delegate. The first part can be read here: History of TPC part 1

If you are interested Mechana, I could look for more information about history for you. If you feel satisfied however, I will leave it be for now. Your choice, but it will take a couple days to find more information I wager, depending on how long people take to respond.

I'm personally satisfied, but I was just thinking that it would be good for the entire region if we had our history in our People's Library. It just seems like something we should have.

That's a very good suggestion. I will look into making it happen, though it probably will take some time to collect the information and put it in a proper format.

We don't really "war".
We were involved in a conflict against the Atlatnic Central Command/Atlantic Alliance but that's really been the only prolonged conflict we've ever been in.

I heard our beginning was rather tense, apart from the conflict with the AA that was according to many, the most powerful raiding org ever, I also heard rumour above conficts with Capitalist Alliance and tensions with The Meritocracy All true. Back in the days when the Meritocracy was more expansionist and militaristic, acting through its proxy, the ACC, before that was made into a raider alliance. Through the MACTO Alliance, the Meritocracy, Armegeddon, and the Capitalist Alliance were a force to be reckoned with in the leftist world.
