Comrades of the Coalition --
It is with anger that the VOTP today reports the following events, that occurred approximately 8 days ago. Unfortunately due to communication problems between the VOTP, Canada officials and The South Pacific officials, could not be reported earlier.
Enough time lost apologizing, now to the facts and the events that have caused great anger amongst certain regions we share regular contacts with. Earlier this week, a south Pacific resident, named Geomania entered The Canadian Embassy in The South Pacific and made what a Canadian resident called a:
This comment was not surprisingly made, directly after an official announcement made by Canada stated that the Coalition had opened up diplomatic relations with Canada.
A Canadian resident named Bweezy expressed frustration at the South Pacific government for not taking a harder line on Geomania’s insults. Surprisingly, a melee ensued between the persons involved in the incident. This included allegations of slander, and a comment by one SP resident, Entrance, that he would have personally beaten the Canadian resident to death if he were in his presence. Our ambassador in Canada was reported saying the following in response to the crisis and the turns of events:
"While we are certainly not in a place to alter the foreign policy of the South Pacific, it is discouraging to see that the government of the South Pacific believes it is acceptable to insult the political beliefs of the majority of the Coalition's residents."
Luckily, Geomania has apologized, and Entrance, who threatened the Canadian resident Bweezy, is to be punished accordingly, according to The Proletariat Coalition's ambassador to Canada.
A happy ending? We think not.
