Ministerial Elections in the Coalition
Comrades of the Coalition --
With the beginning of the Ministerial election cycle the Voice of the Proletariat is happy to bring you, the voting public, our guide to all the elections, candidates, and their respective platforms.
Election: Minister of Defense
Candidates: Anarchtopia, Peaceful Minds
Positions:
Comrade Anarchtopia has been very involved with the Coalition for many months now. He has been a defender for over a year, and in a previous region operated as the Head of Intelligence and as Delegate. He states that during that time he has made numerous and extensive contacts in the defender world.
In regards to the defense forces he seeks to implement a system to honor members of The Proletariat Defense Forces in defense actions. Anarchtopia states he would also begin a new session of recruitment and training for TPDF, as well as creating a standard flag for all nations participating in defense missions. A major point is his willingness to maintain and improve relations with defense forces in the RLA, ADN, as well as other allied regions. Within the ADN Anarchtopia supports term limits on the Director as well as transparency of the Council of Representatives.
Peaceful Minds’ election manifesto while shorter is no less impressive. Under his watch as the Minister of Defense he has created TPDF and has seen it to grow to over 30 dedicated defenders. He claims to be deeply involved in the overall security of the region but remains vague due to security concerns. Needless to say for those following ADN and TPC actions Peaceful Minds has been invaluable in the defense of numerous allied regions.
Under his watch Peaceful Minds would promote an expansion and recruitment of TPC Defense Forces. He supports current actions within the ADN, specifically PopeHope’s declaration of martial law to save the ADN. He now views the ADN as being more resistant against spies and better able to uphold its defense pacts. Peaceful Minds also states that he is glad of the RLA’s addition of a diplomatic wing; he believes that the RLA was created as more than a defense alliance.
Election: Minister of Foreign Affairs
Candidates: Democratic States of Soviet Sexy Girls, Dobbyniania
Positions:
Democratic States of Soviet Sexy Girls, DSSG, acted as deputy minister to Star City, a Judge on the People’s High Court, as well as ambassador to the Atheist Alliance, and is currently ambassador to Canada. DSSG wishes to open the doors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to all, encouraging volunteers to work within. He also wishes to follow in Star City’s foot steps in strengthening alliances and creating new ones with like minded regions.
In regards to the RLA, DSSG, wishes to see it become the primary alliance of the left in the world. He has already helped in the creation of its Diplomatic Wind to further this end. More importantly he wishes to refresh the RLA’s ruling structure in promoting political alternance and debate. And he believes that the Coalition should extend more influence to other regions both through the RLA and on its own. Relating to this is his support for a Trinity project of inter-governmental consultation to maximize influence. Most importantly DSSG would create a weekly report on global diplomatic events.
Dobbyniania has served as both a ADN House Representative and as a member of The Proletariat Defense Force. He has also helped to create the new diplomatic wing of the RLA in conjunction with Equality-Liberty. As part of his many planks, Dobby seeks to invigorate the RLA Diplomatic Wing with rank-and-file workers as well as promoting it among regions as a alternative to RLA military action. As a whole Dobby wishes to promote a more democratic RLA with increasing the number of Reps on the RLA council as well as seeking a transparent decision making process.
With recent events in the ADN making his manifesto partially out of date, Dobby has many plans for the Foreign Ministry. First he wishes to double the amount of embassies in three months, appoint a deputy minister, and recruit other comrades for work in the ministry. Finally Dobby will provide weekly updates on foreign affairs in both the ministry and in the Voice of the Proletariat.
Election: Minister of the Interior
Candidates: The Red Factions, Universal Acceptance
Positions:
Universal Acceptance has been a new vocal member of The Proletariat Coalition. His platform largely agrees with our current Minister, The Red Factions. He does support tolerance among members of the Coalition but also has plans to increase participation among those who are relatively silent. Prominently he calls for a House of Commons. This will separate the region into districts to foster debate. These districts will advise the central government and help in efforts to recruit other nations.
The Red Factions is the current Minister of the Interior. With the Voice of the Proletariat Red Factions also hopes to foster debate and democracy within the region by providing more information to more nations but also by organising more referendums and follow the motto "Bring the politics to the people". While not specific he would only accept legislation banning further right-wing nations from entering if it was so desired by the body politic. Prominently The Red Factions would like to see the region grow to 350 nations by the end of his next term, through recruitement drives, so far succesful he has organised in the past.
We here at the Voice of the Proletariat do not endorse any of the above candidates. We do however encourage all nations to check out the candidates’ full manifestoes as well as their continuing debates. Finally please vote within the next week, it’s your duty to the Coalition and to yourself. We are only a democracy if everyone participates.
Long live Democracy!
