GREECE LEAVES THE ADN!
Yesterday the region Greece annouced it's departure from the ADN, that has undergone great reforms and been given a new charter wielding immense executive powers to the Director. More informations about these reforms will soon be available in an exclusive interview with The Pope herself and in an adequate article the VOTP will provide for you later this week.
An official greek representative was reported saying the following as a last farewell:
Analysists believe that more region will follow in short time. Our brother region and close ally The Allied States of EuroIslanders are currently holding a referendum on wether to withdraw from the ADN or not and so far, an overwhelming majority has voted for a withdrawal.

Primarily, our concern is that of conflict with our wish for a more independent and Greco-centric foreign policy, that would allow us to exchange relations with regions that the ADN does not look favorably upon, such as New Sparrow, and also allow us to pursue a more independent policy in general
Secondly, and of more immediate concern, was the new charter. While we commend the efforts of this organization to reform itself into the less bureaucratic and politically-orientated entity that it had before, Greece still fears that the proposed charter will still infringe upon the freedom we wish to be afforded for our foreign policy. In addition, at this stage of our regional development, we feel it better for Greece to take a separate path instead of that of continual reform.
